Each summer we host the Muskoka Pioneer Power Show at the J.D. Lang Activity Park in Bracebridge. Popular show features include heritage display rooms, waterous saw mill demonstrations, Mowry shingle mill, log cabin, blacksmith shop, Linn tractor, engine displays, country store, antique tractor pulls, classic & antique vehicles, engine displays and a grand parade.

The Bracebridge Fire and Ice Festival is a newly formed festival in Downtown core of Bracebridge. The festival will offer a unique approach to a traditional winter carnival. “FIRE” features will include fire artists and fire pits throughout Downtown. “ICE” features will include interactive ice displays, downtown tube run, Memorial Park Winter Village skating trail that is located in Memorial Park. In addition there will be “try-it-out” activities that include Snoyoga, Fat Biking and snowshoeing. Plus Pancake Breakfast (additional fee applies), Beer garden, road hockey tournament, traditional carnival activities to complement the event. Lynda Lynn was born in Bracebridge, as were five generations of her ancestors who first arrived in the 1880s because of the Canadian land grants. “This show represents contemporary scenes from around town along with scenes from earlier times. “I hope that everyone who has had the good fortune of growing up in a small town will recollect their own upbringing and enjoy the memories. And for those who didn’t have that experience, catch a glimpse of a time treasured.”
